The company which I pay my rent to has recently changed their bank account information (IBAN) on the 1st of April and have only informed me on the 16th. I sent my money on the 3rd and do not know how to get it back or if there is anything I can do.

Please be advised that the swift details of the new IBAN will allow the transaction be directed to the correct account. In future please always ensure to use the correct IBAN account.

the best thing to do is to contact the company you are paying the rent to. They are responsible for the late announcement and they can tell you whether the old IBAN is still in use. My guess is that they've received the money in the old bank account (or have an option that the money is transfered automatically to their new bank account as @JFNorton suggests).

Please note that the change of IBAN probably does not mean that the old IBAN-account has been closed with immediate effect. So, as they say in Afrikaans, alles sal reg kom. Just use the new IBAN for all future payments.
